MUSINGS
Often the unintentional marks on the peripheral edge of my practice allow for new compositions, markings, spontaneous colour combinations, and ways of recording. Wand Zeichnungen is a series of drawings based on these elements, resulting in a sparse and subtle visual language from which we can derive new stories, ideas, and ways of seeing.
Wand Zeichnungen translates to “wall drawings.” These pieces are created on beautiful semi-transparent vellum (very smooth thin paper), which contributes to the delicate and slightly foggy effect. You will see they often have siblings (a, b, c) and sometimes link up offering a whimsical, quirky, and playful way of communicating.
These delicate pieces are best seen in person and you’d be most welcome to come by the studio for a bit of storytelling and a tea.
