I’ve been reflecting on the foundations that have I’ve been reflecting on the foundations that have supported my work over the years. While the studio will shift location, the presence of the work remains very much alive.

There are a few pillars that have consistently represented and supported my practice, and I’m deeply grateful for them - Art Rental & Sales (@vanartrentals) operated by the Vancouver Art Gallery (@vanartgallery), and Once A Tree Furniture (@onceatreefurniture) among them.

Alongside these, I want to acknowledge the many individuals who have collected my work over the years. Inviting these pieces into your homes and lives has allowed the work to extend far beyond the studio, and that support has been a vital part of sustaining this practice.

Together, these spaces and individuals have helped root the work here - allowing it to be experienced, shared, and held within the community even as things evolve. That continuity matters to me, knowing the work continues to live on in places that have long supported it.

Thank you to these pillars, and to everyone who has been part of building and sustaining these roots.
Same, Same but Different - is an ongoing series of Same, Same but Different - is an ongoing series of works on paper exploring repetition, variation, and layering.

Acrylic and ink are built up through mark making, with each layer responding to the one before it. Some marks remain visible, others sit beneath the surface, creating subtle shifts in colour, texture, and tone as the work develops.

There’s a balance between consistency and change - familiar gestures that repeat across the series, while each piece settles into its own composition through small differences in approach and outcome. In many ways, the works echo the natural world, where patterns repeat but never appear exactly the same.

A quiet play on words, on paint, and on paper - revealed more fully the closer you look.

It means a lot to contribute a piece from one of my long-standing series to such a meaningful cause, one that supports and uplifts young people through mentorship.

The event will take place on April 15 at the Vancouver Art Gallery (@vanartgallery), and while it’s now sold out, I’m so grateful to be part of it.

A small reminder that the puzzles are still availa A small reminder that the puzzles are still available, with only a handful left of each design!

There are four variations, each produced in a limited run of 10. A simple extension of the work, something a bit more tactile and meant to be enjoyed slowly.

If you’ve been meaning to pick one up, now’s a good time while quantities last.

Sometimes the studio is messy, not just with pain Sometimes the studio is messy, not just with paint, but with expectations.

Not every piece turns out the way I imagine, and that’s okay. The moments of frustration, the “wrong” marks - they’re all part of the process.

They teach, shift, and guide the work in ways I can’t plan.

The messy parts are where the magic often happens.
