Vert at Parker Projects
Dear friends and art lovers,
It is my pleasure to share some exciting news with you!
Late last year, as the leaves were changing colours and we were shifting from one season to the next, I had the delight of meeting Sarah Dobbs. Sarah is the director at Parker Projects, a beautiful contemporary art space on the fourth floor of the iconic 1000 Parker building. Parker Projects emerged from many years of professional affiliation and collaboration between Sarah Dobbs and David Robinson, the renowned sculptor.
During our visit, Sarah shared her love of the poem by Garcia Lorca quoted above, and invited me to participate in a three person show (info below) based on the colour green. I was honoured to accept. I will be sharing my work at Parker Projects alongside two wonderful painters: Nancy Boyd (soft and organic) and Roz Marshall (colourful and whimsical). Our show is called Vert, the French word for green.
I am delighted to have 6 pieces in the show all exploring the idea of green. You’ll see works on paper from If I Were a Musician and If I Were a Mountain Range, as well as works on panel from Hawks Series, IAOTA/North Shore, and one surprise “Untitled.”
Please feel free to reach out to Sarah directly for more information about the show.
